Hi, I’m Brittany gault.
a Canadian romance author living in the mountains of British Columbia, where most of my favourite things involve snow, chairlifts, good coffee, and probably more hobbies than one person reasonably needs.
Before adding “author” to the list, I built a career as a hairstylist, became a snowboard instructor, found my way into wildfire and emergency response work, and collected an ever-growing number of outdoor side quests along the way.
Somewhere in the middle of all of that, I started writing a book.
The Winter I Found You is my debut novel—a slow-burn mountain romance inspired by the places and communities I love most. It’s full of snowy mornings, ski-town friendships, found family, quiet yearning, and the kind of love that sneaks up on you somewhere between the chairlift and après.
When I’m not writing, you’ll usually find me snowboarding, hiking, camping, attempting another outdoor hobby, doing hair, or at home with my husband and our two very large dogs, Harper and Revy.
I write stories about finding your people, finding yourself, and occasionally finding someone worth falling for along the way.
And yes, I’m probably already working on the next one.
